The Mumbai Metro recently had it’s test run by engineers from CSR Nanjing, China.
The much awaited Mumbai metro that will run from Versova to Andheri via Ghatkopar.
Trains will start from the metro car shed at DN Nagar and run for about 1.5-2 km during the trials. The trials will be held for a period of three months, and are meant to test the tracks and the line’s electrical and signalling systems.
The Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar line is the first corridor of the ambitious Mumbai metro rail project. The corridor, estimated to cost Rs2,356 crore, will connect the central and western suburbs.
